Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about PTL Energy tokens

Yes. PTL Energy operates within the regulatory framework of Namibia. We are registered as a legal entity in Walvis Bay and comply with all relevant financial regulations. Our tokenisation model follows guidelines from the Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA) and we work closely with legal advisors to ensure full compliance.

The minimum investment will be approximately N$1,000 (roughly US$55) per token. This low entry point is intentional to democratize access to energy infrastructure investment. You can purchase fractional tokens, meaning you don't need to buy a whole solar panel - you can own a percentage of multiple assets.

Dividends are distributed quarterly (every 3 months) directly to your digital wallet. Payments are automated through smart contracts based on actual energy production and sales to NamPower. The first distribution is projected for Q4 2026, following the commissioning of our initial solar farm.

We're building on the Ethereum blockchain with Polygon L2 scaling solutions for lower transaction fees. This provides the security of Ethereum mainnet with the affordability needed for smaller investors. All smart contracts undergo third-party security audits before deployment.

Yes. Tokens will be tradeable on a secondary market exchange starting Q2 2027. This provides liquidity for investors who need to exit before the typical 15-20 year asset lifespan. The exchange will be compliant with Namibian regulations and include KYC/AML checks for all participants.

Our Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with NamPower include minimum offtake guarantees. Additionally, we carry insurance for underproduction and use advanced solar forecasting technology. Diversification across multiple sites (solar and wind) further mitigates location-specific production risks.
